Scottie Pippen Talk about “The Patrick Ewing Dunk” Video. A ton of people, not you because you read this blog and know your Shtuff, do not know that Scottie Pippen is one of the best dunkers of all time. He was overshadowed by his Airness, but he is one of the best 50 to ever play, and he could levitate holmes.
In this clip, we see Scottie P reminisce of his dunk over Patrick Ewing. The Hapless Knicks were not like the Hapless Knicks of today. The Knicks of the 90′s had HOF’ers, coaching, defense, role players etc… They just could not get past the Bulls, so I still call them hapless. The “2000′s” Knicks had as many titles as the “1990′s” Knicks.
Anyways, check out this dunk. Listen to what Scottie has to say, and then just for good measure, check out Michael Jordan’s dunk over Patrick Chewing. Yep, I did it again. I am still trying to overshadow Scottie, but watch both vids, and you will see that Scottie holds his own.
Al Horford Posterizes Tim Duncan, 3-21, Video. Tim Duncan has been posterized a lot over the years, but you have to hand it to him. He is actually trying to stop these dunks. Al was coming at the rim full blast with only one thought, and that singular thought was to dunk with authority. Tim put his hand up, and it did not slow Horford down at all. Everything was already set in motion. He was going to dunk no matter what. Timmy was just in the way.
Michael Jordan Wicked Cradle Dunk … In College, Video. I have been searching Michael Jordan vids for quite some time, and I have never seen this before. Check that … I have never seen a college player EVER rock the cradle like this and jam it this hard.
Honestly, there are no gimmicks, but this would get a 50 in the NBA dunk competition finals. That is how very awesome it is, and it was from his college days!
LeBron’s Over The Backboard Shot vs Kobe’s Over The Backboard Shot, video. In a perfect world everyone would just be happy with both of these extraordinary shots, but this is an imperfect world. Everyone wants to know which one is the best. Here they are side by side. LeBron’s shot was from the other night, Kobe’s is from about a month ago.
I think LeBron jumps further out of bounds, but I hate Kobe and the Lakers, so take it for what it is worth.
Amare Stoudemire rocks Shane Battier’s world, Video. I know statistically a lot of people love what Shane brings to the table, but he will always be a dookie. Everyone that hates Duke loves to see stuff like this.
Stat is looking great and so are the Suns. I guess they do not miss Shaq too much.
Jason Maxiell Blocks / Destroys Shannon Brown, video. I had to post this. blocks are not as sexy as dunks, but this was so close to being a posterizing dunk. Then Maxiell makes it a poster going the other way. Shannon Brown needs to pick his face up off the floor.
