One of my favorite videos I use to watch as a kid was Dazzling Dunks and Basketball Bloopers hosted by Marv Albert and Frank Layden. I probably watched that VHS tape a hundred times. So it brought me some joy to see Glen Davis get a steal and go the length of the floor and completely blow the wide open dunk.
This clip would have fit perfectly in the “Dunk or Blooper” segment.
Deron Williams Is A Chicken. Deron is caught, by the ever watching TV camera, doin some funky little chicken dance. It is a lot better than picking your nose on national TV and flickin at your bud. ( That video is the 2nd on this post. Steve Francis would like to have that one back. )
2010 NBA All Stars “Boys 2 Men Idol”, Videos. During 2010 NBA All Star Game, during half times, and timeouts, they showed clips of the All Stars “Trying” to sing Boys 2 Men songs on the gargantuan Cowboys Stadium screen. Some did badly, whilst others strived to do exceptionally terrible.
Antonio Davis To Rodman “My Card Is Full” Video. I do not care what anyone says, the Rodman Bulls were the best, and maybe the best ever. Rodman brought determination and hustle to a team that could have easily become complacent going for its second three-peat.
Here we have a the Worm going for a rebound and getting into an impromptu tango with Davis. Rodman loved making everyone feel a little/ a lot uncomfortable.
Someone Stole Shaq’s Shoes, and a New Shaquote, video. The fact that someone walked away with 2 behemoth shoes and was not stopped by someone is hilarious on its own. The fact that Shaq waves goodbye with his tootsies is great, but the sobering “Shaquote” is what we need to talk about.
Shaq’s new quote rings very true to this aging superstar that is starting only 25 minutes, hopefully 30 in the playoffs.
“The Only Demise of Shaquille O’Neal Will Be His Age”
This interview got me to thinking. If the Cavs win it all this year, I will put Shaq in my top 5 all time, even though he shoots free throws like my Grand Mother.
Rewind: Michael Jordan Slaps Ron Harper in the back of the head, Video. If there were blogs back in the day, then this video would have blown up. Michael Jordan, the games biggest star, slaps his team mates in the back of the head, and it ,” Really Hurt”.
On second thought, I am 95% positive that, even though Jordan was the best player to ever lace them up, he would be constantly rediculued and questioned. In today’s media we love to constantly build people up and then tear them down.
Micheal Jordan was so big that, if he played today, the press would make it their personal vendetta to take him down.
Anyways, I liked this video, but I couldn’t help but think of how even this little video would bring more hate than laughs if it were posted featuring LeBron slapping Mo Williams in the back of the head. Why do haters always gots to be hatin?
