Report: Rick Adelman Not Coming Back As Rockets Coach

According to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, Rick Adelman is out as the Rockets head coach.

As the report said, General Manager Daryl Morey and Adelman couldn’t reach an agreement on how to work together in the next few seasons so they had a mutual parting.

No candidates have been named yet for the Rockets job but I’m sure teams that have their coaches on the hot seat may be looking now at Adelman. Adelman had said previously that he thought about retiring but, at age 64, he’s recently said that he still wants to do it.

I’m sure teams like Minnesota, Detroit, the Clippers, and even the Lakers (Phil Jackson is supposed to be on his way out after this season) may be intrigued at this development.
