According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Michael Redd is targeting a return this weekend (either Friday or Saturday) after a 14-month layoff due to knee injuries.
Redd hasn’t played at all this season and has only played 51 games total in the two seasons before this year. When the former All-Star is healthy, he’s one of the best scorers in the league. Not sure if he’ll ever get back to scoring 25 points per game again but he can certainly boost the ailing Bucks offense. And, of course, he can help the Bucks make a run for the 8th spot in the postseason. Also, since he’s in the last year of a hefty contract, this could be an audition for a roster spot for next season if the Bucks decide not to keep him.
We forget that Michael Redd is only 31 years old. Hopefully, he can make a complete comeback and contribute a few more good years to Milwaukee or another franchise. It’ll be nice to see his silky-smooth jumpshot once again.
